ABOUT US

The Centre is here to help the unemployed, unwaged and those who are at a disadvantage in the local community.

The aim of the organisation is to support and encourage residents to take up learning and training activities which will improve the quality of their lives, and help them gain skills which improve their employment prospects or up skill if already in employment.

The Centre is currently offering two new exciting projects in partnership with TWL; 13 weeks rolling programmes covering employability skills, visits to employers and training providers, short certificated training courses and the opportunity to gain £200.00 worth of vouchers.

We are also currently offering a separate project in partnership with Igen giving clients the opportunity to undertake skills for life qualifications in literacy or numeracy and a qualification in employability skills.

For more detailed information on all of the above courses, please look at the Projects Page.

An outreach project is operated by the Centre offering information, advice and guidance to individuals in their local communities and from our main office (please see venue list for details).  Many people have received help from our service, including:

 · Welfare Benefits Advice

·      Job Search / Interview Techniques / CV's / Application Forms / Speculative letters

·       Education / Employment opportunities

·       Voluntary Work

·       Skills for life offering 1-1 and group tuition to individuals

The Centre has an open door policy which ensures that no one will be turned away in need of our help.  If you need help with any other issues that are not mentioned about please do not hesitate to contact us to see if we can be of some assistance - if we can’t help we will possibly know someone who can.
